CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is a centralised test for admission to 21 National Law Universities in India. This all India entrance examination is conducted by the National Law Schools/Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes (LLB & LLM).

After qualifying Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade, students are eligible for admission to a under-graduate programmes, Bachleor of Laws (LLB) and after qualifying Graduation, students are eligible for admission in Master of Laws (LLM) programmes. CLAT exam is a two-hour admission test which consists of objective type questions covering Elementary Mathematics or Numerical Ability, English with Comprehension, General knowledge and Current affairs, Legal Aptitude & Legal Awareness and Logical reasoning.
