Rs 30,160 crore loans sanctioned under Stand-up India scheme in 6 years: Finance Ministry

More than Rs 30,160 crore loans have been sanctioned to over 1,33,995 accounts in the last six years under the Stand-up India scheme that seeks to provide financial support to Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and women entrepreneurs in setting up enterprises, the Union Finance Ministry said.

Bihar prohibition law eased for first-timers

  • Faced with criticism, the Bihar government on March 30  tabled the Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Bill 2022 in the state legislative assembly, making provisions of certain amendments in the existing law to give relaxations to the first-time offenders. The Bill introduced by state prohibition and excise minister Sunil Kumar was passed by voice vote.

Nod for purchase of made-in-India combat choppers
